We are on the heels of another exciting Sage Transform. The Tablespoon team had a great time networking, learning, and engaging customers throughout the week. Sage Transform is designed exclusively for Sage Intacct's community of customers, partners, and industry experts to share insights, gain valuable product information, earn CPE credit, and connect with contacts new and old.

It was a jammed packed week that was filled with so many highlights and announcements from a Tablespoon and a Sage Intacct perspective, including:

Craftable & Tablespoon Partnership and Presentation

Sage Transform is always a great excuse to see our valued partners. It is an even bigger deal to present with them, which is what happened with Craftable!

Tablespoon’s CEO, Andrew Lester, presented with Craftable’s CEO, Sam Zats, and VP of Growth Strategy, Phil Probert on Wednesday, October 12th. Their session was called “Positioning your hospitality or restaurant business for post-COVID growth”.

About the Session:

The hospitality business is comprised of creative geniuses who create memorable experiences for their guests. Hospitality operators and accountants speak different languages and have different business needs. Tablespoon and Craftable discussed how to bring those differences together with Sage Intacct to streamline operations and empower better decisions with better data. They also covered how to have data visibility at your fingertips, make faster and more profitable decisions, and position your hospitality group for success. In addition, we discussed AP Automation for the Hospitality industry, strategies to combat inflation and how to drive profitability for a post-COVID restaurant business.

It was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our relationship with Craftable. We always enjoy working with them and we were very excited to hear that they won Sage Intacct’s Industry Solution Marketplace Partner of the Year award!

Sage Intacct Announcements and Technology Updates

All we can say is WOW! It is always exciting to be on the frontline learning about what’s new on the horizon for Sage Intacct. Technology and automation were front and center in almost every session.

Sage Intacct announced inventory automation, which will allow Sage Intacct customers to automate inventory transactions with barcoding and mobile data capture for real-time, company-wide visibility and control. Sage Intacct Inventory Automation provides cloud-based inventory management to help businesses ensure their stock and inventory is utilized efficiently and keeps the business flowing. There is also going to be further investments in scaling up Sage Intacct that will enable customers to automate processes, boost productivity, and free up time to focus on running their businesses.

They also announced a new product integration with Microsoft will continue to simplify workflows for SMBs. Customers can now take friction out of day-to-day tasks by submitting and approving certain processes directly through Teams, rather than in the Sage Intacct or Sage People application, reducing the need to toggle between solutions. This means customers can simply and securely approve expenses and review leave requests via a Teams notification.

Lastly, they announced a continued investment in accounts payable to enable an automated end-to-end workflow from bill receipt to payment, reconciliation, and reporting. AI-powered bill automation receives, scans, and populates draft bills, including matching to vendors, coding accounts and dimensions, and identifying duplicate bills and exceptions. It complements the automated payment functionality, Vendor Payments powered by CSI, that was released earlier in 2022. The combination of bill automation and vendor payments helps customers streamline and simplify AP processing, spend less time on manual tasks and get payments out faster alongside paying vendors the way they prefer to be paid.

Connecting as a Team, with Our Customers, and Our Sage Intacct Family

The Tablespoon team is spread all over the United States, so it is always exciting to get together in-person and connect! Same thing can be said for our customers. We do so much virtually that having the in-person meetings is so much more impactful.

We also had the opportunity to meet (some for the first time in person) with our Sage Intacct family. We were able to connect on a different level and strengthen our partnership. Because of Sage Intacct’s support, we will be presenting and sponsoring RFDC in a few weeks!
