Meet Ryan Sugden, Tablespoon's Principal Solution Architect. It's been four years since joining the Tablespoon team! We are excited to celebrate this milestone with Ryan and tell you a little bit more about him, and why he loves working at Tablespoon.
I grew up in Youngstown, OH. I received my undergrad in accounting at Pensacola Christian College in Florida. I then went on to Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. I spent 10 years in Nashville before moving to Bellevue, WA.
I started at Horne LLP Franchise division in December 2008 as a Staff Accountant doing outsourced accounting for multi-unit franchisee restaurants. In 2010 I joined Horne’s Implementation team as a lead in migrating their services from MAS 90 and MAS 200 to Sage Intacct. In 2014 I received my CPA license and began managing client relationships for large multi-unit Franchisees. In 2018 I joined Tablespoon as an Implementer.
I was promoted in September to Principal Solution Architect. I’m excited for the transition. The new role will allow me to work directly with internal and external project leads and implementers. I am responsible for delivering training to Tablespoon employees and customers, providing system support, developing reports and dashboards, and improving Tablespoon’s professional services delivery processes and tools. Tablespoon transforms the way our restaurant and hospitality clients work, enabling more healthy and sustainable growth.
I enjoy the flexibility of working in a “small firm” atmosphere. I get to make a real difference with the clients that I serve. I love being able to work with the restaurant owners and understand their business to better to help move them onto a modern platform.
I love a good steak, and there’s a local Steakhouse near me called Prime, that’s outstanding.
